Mary E. Hardinger, 68, of 113 Hardinger Rd., Sinnemahoning, PA died at her residence on Sunday (August 28, 2011) morning. She was born October 20, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Cyril and Christine Donahue Brain. On August 8, 1964 in Overbrook, PA She married Francis "Sam" Hardinger, who Survives.
 
Mrs. Hardinger graduated from Business College in Pittsburgh. She had worked for Brown Oldsmobile in Pittsburgh, JC Penney, and retired from Cameron County High School where she had worked in the budsiness office. She was also the secretary of Grove Township for many years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Driftwood. She enjoyed her animals.

Burial will be in the Gilmore Cemetery, Austin, PA

Mildred Elizabeth Ford, 88, of Red Bluff, CA, passed away on August 16, 2011.

Mildred was born June 25, 1923 in Weedville, PA., she moved to Red Bluff eleven years ago from Rancho Tehama where she lived for 20 years. She also lived in Stanton, CA and Emporium, PA.

Mildred enjoyed her crafts, photo albums, playing cards, and her secret sisters. She was a longtime member of the First Methodist Church, Ladies Auxilary of the VFW, and the Pink Ladies of St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Mildred is survived by sons Thomas C. Ford and wife Marcella of Santa Rosa, CA and Robert W. Ford and wife Jane of The Dalles, OR, daughter Donna L. Ford and her partner Pat Strain of Mabank, TX, and Donna Wentz and husband Donovan of Red Bluff, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, brother Jerald Bilodgau of Bloomfield, CO, sisters Beverly Avgrill of Emporium, PA, Dorores Lawrence of Corvallis, OR, and Emilie Anderson and husband Stan of Warren, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents Dolph and Nancy Bilodhau, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, at 10:00am at the Community Center at the Rio Vista Mobile Estate in Red Bluff. Internment will be at the Newton Cemetary, Emporium, PA.

Jane D. Metzler, 79, of Grove House, West Creek Rd, Emporium and formerly of Maple Street Apartments died at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys Tuesday (August 9, 2011) morning.
She was born August 23, 1931 in Erie a daughter of the late Paul B. and Mildred Kochendorfer Minton.
 
Mrs. Metzler attended Penn State University. She was the office Manager for Dr. Allen Blackburn for many years and later was a homemaker for over 22 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends.

She was born August 5, 1947 in Renovo a daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen Saxton Button, Sr.

On June 11, 1984 in Coudersport she married the late Eugene Butler.
Mrs. Butler had worked at Guy and Mary Felt Manor over 5 years before moving to Montgomery County.

Amos L. Wheaton, 80, of 1007 Rich Valley Rd., Emporium died at his residence, Emporium on Monday (August 1, 2011) morning. He was born January 18, 1931 in Dunbar, PA a son of the late Paul and Hazel VanGelder Wheaton.
He married Delia Ann Emery Wheaton, who Survives.
Mr. Wheaton retired from North American Philips where he worked for over 44 years. He was a life member of the Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge #368, Emporium, and a member of the Christabelle Club.
