Mike D. Polinick, 79, of 63 Trailer Court Dr., Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Friday (April 22, 2016) morning. He was born December 18, 1936 in Rasselas, PA a son of the late Michael D. and Barbara Minnich Polinick
 
. On November 29, 1958 in First Baptist Church, Emporium he married Ethel Uplinger Polinick, who survives. Mr. Polinick retired from Cameron Manufacuring where he worked for many years. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Steelers, cars, Reese Cups and Pepsi and daily visits from his dog Miss Muffy. He loved spending time with his family.
 
Surviving in addition to Ethel Uplinger Polinick, are a son, Donald Polinick and his wife Sue, Emporium; daughter, Melinda Ackman and her husband Kevin, Emporium; son, Ronald Polinick and his wife Jonie, Emporium; 5 Grandchildren: Donna, Brandy, Natasha, Charles & Matraca; 3 Great Grandchildren: Tristan, Nathan & Aubrey.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael D. and Barbara Minnich Polinick. A Memorial Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (April 26, 2016) at 12:00 PM with Rev. James Eastman, Pastor, Deeper Waters Ministries, officiating.
 
Visitation will be one hour prior to the Service
. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA

Virginia A. “Genny” Gribble, 56, of 297 Honey Lane, St. Marys, PA formerly of Emporium, PA died at Mount Jewett on Sunday (April 17, 2016) afternoon in a motorcycle accident.
She was born May 12, 1959 in Coudersport, PA a daughter of the late Francis and Eva Sabatino Burgett.
She had been married to Randie Gribble, Emporium
Genny worked at GKN for over 28 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. She liked decorating and baking.

She is survived by a daughter, Stacy Scarpelli, DuBois; son, Jason (Kelly) Allison, Emporium; daughter, Dusti Rees, Emporium; son, Josh Rees, Emporium; son, Derrick (Ally) Gribble, Emporium. Twelve Grandchildren, Madyson, Chanz, Tapanga, Camdyn, Brynn, Laila, Haley, Kierstyn, James, Brooklyn, Jarron & Grayden. sister, Evie Sabatino, Meadville, PA; brother David Burgett, Emporium; brother, Paul Burgett, Emporium; brother, Tom Burgett, Hermitage, PA; brother, Charles Hooftallen, Emporium; brother, Perry Hooftallen, Roulette.

Preceded in Death By
Parents, Francis and Eva Sabatino Burgett.

The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium on Monday from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM with the service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mark Conklin, Pastor, Christian Missionary & Alliance Church, officiating.

Nels P. Nelson, Sr., 55, of 7884 Mason Hill Rd., Driftwood, PA died at his residence, on Sunday (April 3, 2016) evening. He was born December 11, 1960 in Jeannette, PA a son of Lucille Wilson Nelson, Greensburg, PA and the late Richard Nelson.

On February 26, 1982 in Jeanette he married Valerie Shusteric Nelson, who survives. Mr. Nelson worked for Lumber Township for many years until he became ill in 2006. He was a member of the Sterling Run Sportsman Club and St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium. Nels was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved gardening and spending time with his family.

Surviving In addition to his wife Valerie Shusteric Nelson are Sons Nels Nelson, Jr., New Stanton, PA  and Luke Nelson and his wife Courtney, Kent, OH a daughter Shawna Hostler and Travis, Driftwood, son Cory Humphrey, Driftwood and 8 Grandchildren; Victoria, Carlin, Novella, Aubree, Eli, Geneva, Laney, and River. Two Brothers: Jim Bateman and Cara, Gibsonia, Brother: Meldrum Nelson, Ruffs Dale, PA Sister: Lorrie Clark, Yukon.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Nelson and a Brother Rick Nelson.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Wednesday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 6:00 PM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, officiating.
